Magic LED Light v2 App Reviews

These are so fun and agile. The only app addition/change I could think of is to allow bulbs to be in multiple groups. Ex: Group A has 1, 3, 5 and Group B has 1, 2, 3 and Group C had 3, 4, 5. Music mode and Disco mode could use improving but I dont care and will never use them anyway.

A functionality Id like to see would be a routine program. Similar to how PowerPoint works, I could go through preset light configurations. I have 4 bulbs, and it would be cool if I could program them to do things after each other.

Awesome App! I especially like the Disco Feature! Will you add a Brightness Limiter to the Disco Function to prevent the LEDs from reaching full brightness when set? Will you also allow custom color palettes, that have been previously defined, to be used in Disco Mode? This would allow Magic LED Light users to create custom color schemes and use them within Disco Mode (very cool). Thank you for the great work youve done with the Magic LED Light App! Keep up the GREAT work!

The functions feature is gone which I used for different lighting effects. Would also like for the microphone feature to be able to pick up sound from Bluetooth speakers because it doesnt work well when playing music in a room with a lot of people.

Used the function tab for its multiple pre set effects.

This update broke my app. The app knows my light is there but times out every time I try to turn it on or off. And I cant open the effects page so Im stuck at the last setting. (The bulb will turn on/off at the power source.) I tried the troubleshooting stuff on the help page, but no luck.

The preset functions are gone. Now I need to manually enter any program I want?? Cant even just have it cycle through all colors anymore without painstakingly programming a manual function.

there was a functions button which was the best mode and now its gone. who ever took it away is so lame. this app is useless now, bulbs are pretty much pointless too now.

This is a very cool app except the fact that I choose green and it shows blue on my lights and I choose blue and it goes green on my lights

This app used to work great and responsive. The new updates is slow on the iPhone 6. Its terrible. PLEASE UPDATE TO WORK FASTER AND SMOOTHER!

Very slow making changes. Cant talk to some bulbs until both app and bulb are rebooted. Just started happening across all of my bulbs with the new app update.

I just bought this and configure it it was working fine this morning it will not see the bulb any more. I have tried unplugging it. Please advise...

This app could be much better if it had a better UI. Functionally it gets the job done but it feels like the developer just didnt know what the customers would want. Albeit you can tinker with it and figure it out but the aim should be user friendliness. The color picker is okay but how about an option to use RGB sliders to set color. Also bring the color picking up the menu because thats a pretty cool feature but one has to dig in to the app by learning that there is a swipe function for more options. That can certainly be resolved also by using the "3-dot" option based solution. Again, this app has potential to be great. Oh and the bulbs have been great so far!

I had to return a LIFX cause it just didnt work after hours of trying to set it up. With this the set up time took 3 min, 2 of which was just downloading the app. It works as advertised, maybe not the prettiest UI but Im glad they put the money in the bulb itself rather than the app

Works as intended. Found my new bulb right away. All functions seem to work perfectly. No complaints

This app is okay but has great potential. The developers could definitely make it better. Letting you make your own functions, letting you use Apple Music, and just to take out the bugs. Sometimes itll crash on me if I open it to fast after closing another app. This could be an amazing app in the future

Ive got a bunch of these in the house. Love them. The only complaint is that a device cant belong to multiple groups. Maybe this would be a great new feature in a future update. Think "Scenes", where device groups and devices can belong and be controlled, one step further than groups.
